We had a multitude of opportunities to interact with nature during our 2006 furlough. Based in Massachusetts, we were able to explore the town forest and cranberry bogs in back of the Gregsons' home.  We made nature journal entries for much of what we saw. At the Bouchard home the girls were able to help Papa in his garden and have a new set of nature experiences.  We were close enough to Cape Cod to visit there and we even got to visit Denise's brother's family on Matha's Vineyard for a few days.  In addition, our travels brought us to New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Georgia, Florida and Hawaii!.
